Who we are

Antonia Mitchell is a passionate believer in the power of giving, to improve lives. She has ensured that numerous donors achieve this and has worked for world-leading charities including Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, Baker IDI in Australia and the Oxford Centre for the Study of Philanthropy at the University of Oxford. As a result, she has an insider’s knowledge of, and active relationships across the charitable sector. She also comments in the media, on matters related to philanthropy.
Antonia established Aurelia Philanthropy after seeing too many donors no longer excited by their giving and charities failing to engage their supporters. Highly experienced as both a philanthropist and former fundraiser, she knew she was in a rare position to guide other donors through the opaque world of charity, ensuring they could feel reinvigorated and make a greater difference to the causes that matter to them.
Antonia is an experienced Trustee for both charities and foundations, as well as a passionate advocate for change in parental and foetal health, related to baby loss. In her spare time, she is a keen baker, traveller and reluctant gym attendee. She is married and spends most of her evenings trying to stop her children from painting the sofa/walls/table.
